Story of the Home

”Maida Vale is an incredible place! We lived there for 7 years prior to relocating our family to Australia.

We viewed dozens of properties before finding this apartment. What stood out was the wonderful light which floods in from all directions, even on a grey day. I knew instantly this was the property for us, so I excitedly called my wife and she trusted me to put in an offer on the spot.

The kitchen looks out over the gardens, which makes basic chores like washing up more bearable as you look out over the mature trees below. The bedrooms are incredibly quiet by London standards, and are a very cosy place to wake up under the eaves!

For families with young children, there is a wonderful primary school at the end of the road called, St Josephs and two splendid pubs: The Warrington and the Prince Alfred, both have a really nice local family atmosphere with fantastic outside seating.

The canals around Little Venice are just a short stroll away, here you will find one of my favourite restaurants, The Waterway, this really is a great place for alfresco dining or a few drinks with friends, especially in the summer.

Paddington recreation ground is just around the corner, it’s a great place to walk a dog or exercise. Fun fact, Roger Bannister trained here when he broke the 4-minute mile record. I also enjoyed the 30-minute run to Primrose Hill and back.

The area has a real village feel with lots of independent shops, there is even an Everyman cinema just 100m away – you can eat pizza and have a glass of wine on a comfy sofa whilst watching one of the latest blockbusters.

Well connected by the Bakerloo line, which is only 30 metres from the front door, Paddington Station is just two stops on the tube, or a brisk 15-minute walk.

However, Maida Vale is so good, you might not want to leave!”
