Story of the Home

A modern and luxurious three-bedroom duplex apartment, positioned within the iconic Grade II listed building on Acton High Street.

In the owners words: "Acton Town Hall Apartments is a Grade II listed building, it was originally constructed in 1910 and then extensively redeveloped in 2019. The building is packed with sensational art deco features and much care and attention have been dedicated to retaining the heritage and nature of the building.

We were looking to find a modern apartment in a period building. The development offers the very best of the ancient and the modern; a modern living space within an iconic converted historical building.
Since the purchase, it has been an exciting journey designing the interiors of the apartment.

We aimed to enhance the period features with carefully curated additions, from the large baroque style mirror in the foyer to the mosaic tiles and parquet flooring throughout the apartment. We also blended contemporary decorations into the mix, with wooden panelling and stylish pendant lights, which complement the period features harmoniously.

We love entertaining so we added a luxury custom cocktail bar and wine cooler in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with Neff appliances, there is Zehnder comfort cooling system and built-in Legrand audio-visual entry and home automation system.

The apartment is configured over two floors, so the entertaining space and bedrooms can be separated. All three bedrooms are good-sized double rooms and have bespoke built-in wardrobes.

Our favourite room is the principal bedroom, the vaulted ceilings and large period round window are a show stopper. There are far-reaching unobstructed views of Chiswick, Richmond, West London and beyond.

The building has well maintained intimate communal gardens for residents’; use and a large indoor bike store. One of the best features is the close-knit community of residents living in the building. Chiswick High Road is a short walk away with its village feel and many shops and restaurants. Closer is Churchfield Road with a selection of lovely cafes, restaurants, and bakeries. Our favorite spot is The Duke of Sussex on Acton Green Common, where we have had countless Sunday roasts and summer alfresco lunches.

There are many parks and green spaces in the local area such as Acton Park, Gunnersbury Park, and Chiswick Gardens. There is also a David Lloyd Health Club (swimming pool, spa, tennis, gym, exercise classes, crèche, and kids club) located in Acton Park.

The apartment is very well connected with multiple underground, overground, rail and bus routes available. The Elizabeth Line from Acton Main Line takes approximately 15 minutes to Tottenham Court Road and 18 minutes to Liverpool Street. The Piccadilly and District lines are also available from Acton Town and the overground from Acton Central."
