Story of the Home
“Adelaide Court is located just around the corner from the Abbey Road Studios, which since its opening in 1931 has been considered the world’s most famous recording studios.
The whole area has a real buzz to it, St Johns Wood High Street is just a 5 minutes walk with plenty of independent boutiques, café’s and restaurants. In the other direction is Maida Vale and the canals of Little Venice with more options for dining out. My favourite has to be Clifton Nurseries, especially in the summer.
I refurbished the apartment in 2021, adding a fully integrated kitchen, the bathroom has marble tiles and a large raindrop shower. I installed herringbone flooring in the reception room with carpets in the bedroom. Storage can often be lacking in one bedroom apartments, so I made the most of the space and added large built in cupboards in the hallway.
Adelaide Court is a very well-managed building, the communal areas have recently been refurbished, with new carpets, doors and a passenger lift.
The apartment overlooks the communal gardens and is south west facing so gets good light, especially in the afternoons. Finding an apartment with outside space in central London can be a challenge, so having access to these gardens is a real luxury.
Travelling around the city is easy, with the Jubilee Line at St Johns Wood Underground Station and the Bakerloo line at Maida Vale.”
